For C-Level
As a C-Level Executive
You understand that being efficient and effective are vital to any desired outcome, especially if you want to get there with some level of ease and profitability. You have likely charged your leadership team to do more with less and are in hot pursuit of the “next thing” to get an edge. And, as your company’s energy is centered on “what’s next?”, it is very common to lose sight of or avoid fundamental shifts necessary to ensure the foundation of the business can sustain what is being built on top. Just look at the past few years of business and economic tragedies. Classic examples of not keeping the foundation attuned and boom – things came crashing down!
As an Efficiency Practitioner
You’ll find the guidance necessary to adjust the foundation and ensure your company is firmly rooted to support its optimal capacity and peak performance. You know the obvious stuff to do. My focus is in the “not so obvious” that is in your blind spot as you live the C-Level Executive role day in and day out. This is where my gifts and decades of experience become valuable in supporting you in creating the next level of efficiency within your company and your people. We can look at both the strategic and tactical nature of:
- Financial Efficiencies
Like the instrument panel is to an airplane, so are the financial efficiencies to a business. Here, strategy, decision-making algorithms, forecasting, revenue modeling, resource capacity planning, performance monitoring, and similar become vital considerations to the foundation of the business and its efficiency. More than 97.2% of businesses are inaccurate in their financial efficiencies because of a single human frailty. Ask me what?
- Systems Efficiencies
Just as cabin pressure, wing structure, and engines are to an airplane, so are systems to a business. Without them, it won’t fly. In a business climate of doing more with less, systems, process, and any structure that creates automation and uniform ways of doing things are vital to flight and avoiding a crash. The trick is to be effective by selecting those system efficiencies that yield the biggest ROI. As someone who has been a programmer, analyst, end user and executive, I have a unique perspective in doing just that with an average 18:1 ROI on systems efficiencies.
- Employee Efficiencies
You are the pilot of the plane, your leadership teams the co-pilots, senior management the ground crew, and directors and managers the flight attendants keeping the passengers (employees) in their seats and orderly performing their roles. But, people are funny. It’s true. We are a goofy group just trying to survive each day, some thriving, some gladly unconscious, others winging it and heck there are even the occasional superstars. It’s the nature of the beast. Ask me about ways to to keep the plane in the air without burning too much fuel or having to make stops on what should be a non-stop flight.
If you are open to an unbiased, objective outsider view to bounce ideas off of and discuss techniques for ensuring the foundation is substantial enough to support what you are up to with the business, then give me a call at 503-716-6485.
Approach & Philosophy
The approach I use is simple and straight forward. No games, no hidden agendas, just pure, real solutions designed to generate results quickly. As a Practitioner, my role is to guide others in ways to bring the next levels of efficiency and effectiveness to their work. I blend art and science to diagnose, resolve and prevent dis-ease in business through conventional and alternative efficiency and effectiveness techniques. You’ll find I bring fact, humor, structure, play, and humanness in guiding your team, your department, your business to the next level of efficiency.
Getting Started
To get started, let’s talk over what’s going on, where you see barriers and opportunities for the next level of efficiency and effectiveness. Typically, within 10 minutes, I am able to evaluate whether or not I can offer some guidance, whether it’s tactical or strategic in nature, and ballpark your investment and the timeline. If it’s of interest to you, we’ll dive a little deeper and take it from there. Collectively, we explore if C-Advising, the C-Forum, or other option is the best means of working together for what you are out to achieve. If not, no harm no fowl.
